A portrait, in my opinion, should convey meaning beyond a likeness. It must capture and project the sitter’s personality and character, giving the viewer a feeling for the person.
The painting of a portrait is an intense and very personal experience for both the model and the painter. Over the years I have developed a structured step-by-step approach that aims to make the process comfortable for both.
